Men’s 18 hole Stableford championships were postponed and will now be held on 8th, 15th, and 22nd September
A gusty North wind made conditions very difficult; however, there were enough women players willing to brave the elements with the following results: Winner Margaret Smith 100-20-80, and runner-up Faith Morrissy with 112-30-82. Margaret Smith won the putting with 31 putts, and also had the best gross score of 100. Margaret won the monthly medal as well and then had her name drawn as the raffle winner!
Men’s 4 week 18 hole stableford competition final round, was won by Bill Buckley with 35 points. Bill also had nearest the pin on both the 1 st /10 th and 9 th /18 th holes. Runner-up was Willie Kiffoto with 34 points. Chris Hansen had a nearest the pin for A grade on 1 st /10 th hole. The winner of the four week competition was Rick Johnston with 109 points and the runner-up, Richard Stone had 106 points.

Men’s 18 hole competition 1 st round Stableford championships postponed
Men’s 4 week18 hole stableford competition round 3, was won by Richard Stone, 43 points. Runner-up John Nankervis, who also had nearest the pin on 1st/10 th hole, scored 38 points. A grade player Richard Stone was nearest the pin on 1 st /10 th.
Men’s 18 hole stroke competition and monthly medal. One Grade only played and the competition was won by Darren Gill with 60 nett. Runner-up Lance Thomas scored 67 nett. Darren Gill also won the monthly medal and was nearest the pin on 1 st /10 th . Darren had an aggregate nett score of 205, which gained him the Winter Shield win. Runner-up Don Wagstaff had a nett aggregate of 207. A. Campbell was nearest the pin 1 st /10 th in his division.
Sally Stone was the winner of the women’s 18 hole stableford competition with 28 points and runner-up Sandra Toone scored 23 points. Nearest the pin was Sandra Kent.
Men’s 4 week 18 hole stableford competition round 2, was again won by Rick Johnston, 40 points. Runner-up John Nankervis, who also had nearest the pin on 1st/10 th hole, scored 38 points. A grade player Richard Stone was nearest the pin on 1 st /10 th.
