Ladies have you considered playing golf? Come along to learn or refresh your golfing skills each Monday from February 4th 12.30 at the clubhouse. We can provide equipment and coaching for $6 ($3 members). Hit off at 1 pm but arrive 12.30 to organise equipment and receive a few tips before starting. In addition to this to encourage those who are working, we will have three weeks of lessons from 18th March 5-6 pm Mondays.
Mixed Closing Day-Gentsomes. This was won by Faith and Dennis Morrissy, Vicki Hannah and Janice McKenzie with 104 points.
Runners-up, with 98 points was the team of Kerryn and Don Wagstaff and Sally and Richard Stone. Nearest the pin st.10 th Men: Jeff McKeon, women: Vicki Hannah and on 9 th /18 th hole, Men: Dennis Morrissy and women: Kerryn Wagstaff.
Chicken run was won by Brian McKenzie on a count-back from Don O’Meara 18 points.
Coastal Challenge at Apollo Bay. Apollo Bay vs. Peterborough 2 nd round-
Apollo Bay defeated Peterborough 448 to 391. Over two rounds, Apollo Bay defeated Peterborough 902 to 833. The winning women’s scores for Apollo Bay were Jean Hansen with 40 points and Kerryn Wagstaff 39 points. Best for Peterborough was Lorretta Roberts with 28 points .In the Men’s section, A grade, Chris Hansen scored 40 points and runner-up was Colin Hammond (Peterborough) 37 points. In B grade, Lance Thomas had 34 points and runner-up Brian McKenzie scored 33 points. Best for Apollo Bay: Chris Hansen 40 and runner-up Bernie Coller 36. Best for Peterborough was Colin Hammond 37 and runner up with 35 was Peter Cashmore. Bob Bedson had an eagle on the 6 th hole, other notable accuracies were on 1 st /10 th Charles Martin for A Grade and Ray Matthews in B Grade and on 9 th /18 th in A grade Pat Sinnott and in B grade Steve Baudinette. The longest Drive for the women was Melyssa Hammond and Darren Smith in A grade Men’s section and Steve Baudinette in B grade men’s section.

Ric Johnston, Patrick Murphy and helpers organised a great “Viking lamb shanks” dinner at the clubhouse as part of the “Winter Wild Festival” in Apollo Bay. Thank you to all involved.
